This month’s subscription of Woman’s Day came in the mail for my mother, and I happened to pick it up to flip through and came across a page about information on Sparked.com, which is a website that allows you to volunteer from your own chair, whether it’s helping a teacher with a reading list or helping a nonprofit organization. I love the idea of it, so wanted to share it with you all since it’s quick, easy, and you’re helping a great cause and may just bring a smile to someone’s face.

“Check out Sparked.com, a “micro-volunteering” site that offers you a choice of tiny tasks based on your skills and interests. Lend a hand to a teacher by building a reading list for young girls, help an African nonprofit decide between three new logos or share personal stories for an anti-bullying foundation-all from the comfort of your chair.” - Page 30, Woman’s Day September 2012
